A vision care plan may partially pay for your vision examination, glasses or contact lenses. Medical insurance may pay a portion of your charges for a medical emergency (eye infection, eye injury, retinal detachment, etc.) or for necessary medical testing needed to manage ocular disease (Glaucoma, Cataract, Diabetes, etc.). Medical insurance usually has a co-payment that needs to be paid at the time that services are rendered in the office.
In order for us to help you get your full insurance benefits, it is very important that every patient present their insurance cards to our front desk before they see Dr McClay. If you send your son or daughter to our office without a parent, please give them your vision and/or medical insurance card so they can provide that information to our staff. We appreciate your help.
When you make an appointment, please let us know if you have vision or medical insurance. Do not assume that you do not have any insurance coverage for vision or medical procedures. We are happy to assist with your insurance questions.
We do not currently have a billing system. All payment is due at time of service. We do accept CASH, CHECK, ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS and CARE CREDIT. Call (803) 741-7177 today to schedule your eye exam today.
